Dragon Tattoo: The nature of the movie version is that they end up leaving out a lot of detail. It's a fascinating and complex puzzle in the book.

The mini-series contains a lot of material that was cut out of the theatrical movies. You could hope that the miniseries will be aired or released in on DVD in the US.

And that's my 1000th post on the new forum!!!!! Yeah, baby!!! Edit: And apparently, I'm now a vegetarian zombie. :o Go me.
Death, a.k.a. The Grim Reaper, is...well Death. He is most known for his taking of souls, his occasional riding with the four horsemen (on his horse Binky), and of course his famous garden.

I just finished watching the newest Harry Potter, it was much darker than the other films, and teaches a great deal that the light can overpower the dark.It does teach against dark influences and occult like, workings. It's unfortunate, that certain crowds of people, have started highly religious, malicious crusades turned 'conspiracy'(online cult groups) against the work of J.K Rowling, due to unattended mental health interventions, by a complete misunderstanding of the entire 'Harry Potter theology'.

Many extremist occult Christ supremacists have spoken very badly towards J.K Rowling, and her releases with wild accusations of some very suggestive, deeply disturbing sexually perverse ideas beyond your imagination ideals as opposed by Christian cult leadership members on the net, just as done with the Narnia and Oz books in great detail. They slander, libel and deceive and protest angrily often,as direct advertisement to 'repent' and join their heaven's cult online, usually followed by an asking new members for a donation of money to join their online Christ crusade. When the last book, was released. A few anti Pagan extremists protested, with little security control, and one huge protest was lead bu a women with a severe form of Schizophrenia, who had ignored to receive any sort of relief or mental health treatment.

Sad...I know, and they speak very poorly for their own religion and make it look bad, as well the people in it.Not cool.

I know what you mean, Ethan. Lots of things popular among kids get that kind of crap. Comic books had to suffer something similar with "Seduction of The Innocent" in the 50's, then there's been rock music, action movies, cartoons and so on. All because of grown ups unable to see beyond their preconceived ideas and from the kids' point of view. Sure, it's one thing to be concerned about the children's well-being, but so many times it has gotten way out of line. If my book would be widely distributed it wouldn't surprise me if it also got that type of heat.

Planet 51, a CGI-animated movie that takes place on another planet, as the title implies. The plot is a reverse of the whole "alien coming to Earth" scenario as an astronaut comes to their world and they react the same way people would if they saw an extraterrestrial. The animation was pretty nice, but storywise it wasn't really that original, even if it was a fun satire of the sci-fi genre.

Robin Hood, starring Russell Crowe. Initially, I was slightly disappointed with it. Not that it's a bad movie, cause it's a pretty good period piece. It's just that it often doesn't feel much like a Robin Hood movie, but more like a movie set in the medieval age. I guess it's because it's supposed to be set before the legend starts, but it kind of felt like being cheated when the last minutes felt the most like Robin Hood.
But to focus on the positives, the acting was pretty good and so were the action scenes, so it wasn't a complete waste of time.

Valkyrie

It the movie about the failed July 20th 1944 assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler. It stars Tom Cruise, who did a better job in the movie than I was expecting.
Hey, I only jump on the bandwagon when everyone's doing it.

The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc

Angels and Demons

Both better than I expected. Dustin Hoffman's role near end of The Messenger was new approach in an old story.

After Life with Nicole Ricci(loved her since Wednesday Addams) and Liam Neeson and the dude from the Mac commercials(Justin Long). It was kinda demented which made it good for me.

After last seeing it several years ago, a rewatch of Terminator 3: Rise Against the Machines. I watched the commentary and was suprised by Schwarzenneger's mostly intelligent, knowledgeable, and somewhat silly contributions...
